Idag, onsdag kväll, när repetitionerna drar igång, så diskas Anna Books bidrag för att samma låt har tävlat i Moldavien för något år sedan. Det tycker jag är otroligt grymt. Här har artisten satsat månader på att få till sitt nummer och verkligen just satsat allt. Och efter första repetionen, tre dagar innan sändning så diskas hennes låt ur tävlingen. Låtskrivarna säger att de fick beskedet från Moldavien att låten inte hade gått vidare där och att de inte visste att låten ändå hade gjorts offentlig. The theme this week, creating our own bokeh pattern, was a really fun and challenging one for me. To actually create something with my hands is not something I am used to. I am clumsy with no fine motorics abilities whatsoever. You will have to use your imagination to interpret my little pattern as a leaf. 😉 But I love the effect. It is definitely something worth experimenting with more. Practice is needed. What do you think? Can you see the leaves? 😉 The leaf bokeh is created by window lights from block houses and traffic across the street. Oh my. Yesterday did not turn out the way I planned blog-wise. The day before when I was supposed to write the blog entries for yesterday I fell asleep! I woke up in the middle of the night, so tired that I just brushed my teeth and didn’t even bother to change into my night t-shirt, I just went to bed with the top I was wearing during the day. So I wrote a short entry yesterday morning explaining this and that I would not be able to keep up my publishing schedule since I fell asleep and am working during the day so can’t blog then. I planned to blog when I came home from work. But the preparations for today’s blogs took all my time. Alltså – jag somnade ifrån allting igår kväll! Tvätten, disken, bloggen…! Jag åt lite, hann lägga in och starta tvättmaskinen och sedan somnade jag och vaknade mitt i natten! Då var jag så trött så jag bara borstade tänderna i en dimma och brydde m mig inte ens om att byta om till nattkläder utan sov i undertröjan jag hade under dagen. Helt slut Jag kunde alltså inte uppdatera bloggen med tidsinställda inlägg igår kväll. Så jag får uppdatera med ett inlägg ikväll efter jobbet istället. För nu måste jag jobba! ”Ses” ikväll.

I have found so many cool Photoshop tutorials on youtube. I find it really cool that besides the usual photo editing you can also ”create” an image in Photoshop. You can make art in it. Or can you? If you ask me, yes. The Swedish photo artist Erik Johansson is an example of how you can use photography and Photoshop in a creative way I think. Some of the comments suggest that this is not photography, it’s not art. I don’t care what you call it – I just find it cool and creative. I find that he is an artist, creating images. His images tell a story, that’s all I care about. If I shall summarise my view on it, I think he is being creative with both photography and Photoshop. Yesterday when I arrived at work they had closed down the second big parking area. I had to drive around campus (our office is located at KTH Royal Institute of Technology) to find another place to park the car. Luckily I found one a walk away. Which is fine with me. But two big parking spaces have been closed down because they are building houses there and they don’t have any plans to replace them. So where do all the cars go? The longterm aim for them is a car-free campus. Commendable of course environmentally speaking and all. But… it is not good for me! On top of that, I can’t even drive to the underground and park there because they have made it so that you have to pay congestion tax to park by the underground (EPIC fail!) and then you have to pay for the parking itself AND pay for public […]

Eftersom jag inte hann ut i helgen heller för att fota så kom jag på att jag ville testa att fota svartvitt, och leka med highkey (alltså överexponerat och lite kontrast) och lowkey (mycket mörka partier, skuggor, lite ljus och mycket kontrast). Dessutom fortsätter jag på det lite obekväma spåret med att fota självporträtt. När man inte har någon annan så får man ta vad man har. Lika obekvämt som det är att spela in sig själv är det att fota sig själv. Men det är lika bra att vänja sig. Först tog jag fram min stora billiga studiolampa och lekte med. Då fick jag denna highkeybild som ser mycket mer highkey ut i Photoshop av någon anledning. Behöver experimentera mer för att få ett fint och intressant ljus. Den här helgen har flugit iväg. Jag har försökt hinna med så mycket men hann bara hälften. Det blir så när man inte har tid på vardagarna med vardagssysslorna. Förhoppningsvis blir denna vecka bättre så att jag hinner ikapp. Det är mycket just nu. Det händer mycket på jobbet och det är stora förändringar som vi inte vet vad de innebär ännu. Vi hoppas att det blir bra i slutändan. Men även om man är positiv och optimistisk så är osäkerhet tärande i längden. Jag har världens roligaste jobb så det vill jag ju att det ska fortsätta vara. jag hann i alla fall shoppa lite inför Jens och mitt träprojekttema nästa vecka. Vi ska försöka göra vårt eget bokeh-mönster. Och nu kan jag rosta hur mycket bröd jag vill. Det är första gången jag gör en sådan här video så hav tålamod och överseende.
